A successful multicultural experience
The island originally became a French colony in 1735 and then a British possession in 1810. It declared its independence in 1968. The island consists of a very multicultural population composed of people from different nationalities, ethnicities, languages, religions and cultures. While in some places this ethnic and cultural diversity would be considered a threat to social harmony, on this island it maintains stability and has helped with economic success.
October 27th at 7pm – presented by Dulari Prithipaul, a Maurician – Edmontonian!
