SUMMER CAMPS 2012

For who?

Our camp is designed for non-francophone children aged 6-12 years.
We welcome children of all levels in French.

Where?

The camp will be held at the Westmount Community League

This is the perfect venue for your child’s camp: located in the Westmount Park, in the middle of our community, we will enjoy a lovely playground, a large field, a community garden to grow fruits and vegetables and even an awesome spray park! This will be a great French immersion experience, with native speakers and… lots of fun!

What?

The main objective of this camp is to develop fluency and confidence in oral and written French. A different theme will be chosen for every session and activities, game and even French lessons will vary accordingly.

When and how much?

Session 1	July 9 – July 13	Save the Earth! We all know we should respect our planet. But how can each individual help at his very own level? Compost, green electricity, bugs replacing insecticide… So much we could do!
Session 2	July 16 – July 20	Insects and other bugs: an amazing world of wonder lays in our garden… filled with insects and all sorts of tiny creatures! Let’s embark for an amazing journey within this astonishing wildlife!
Session 3	July 23 – July 27	Circus: Let’s juggle, let’s do magic tricks or be a real clown for a week! And because we don’t have lions and tigers to train, how about we turn ourselves into those?
Session 4	July 30 – Aug. 3	The four elements: They’re all around us, all the time, and yet they are truly fascinating… This week, fire, water, air and earth will be at the center of our games and activities.
Session 5	Aug. 7 – Aug. 10	The Olympics & the five continents: Let’s travel through the world and celebrate cultural diversity with Olympic games at Westmount!
Session 6	Aug. 13-Aug. 17	Human body and the five senses: This week will be a journey into our own body! We will re-discover one by one our senses and learn how to train the ones we sometime forget!
Session 7	Aug. 20-Aug. 24	Young scientists: after learning a couple scientific experiments, we will lead an investigation, locating clues and analyzing different powders… to figure out who stole our treasure!

Each session includes a full day from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

$250/session (except session 5: $200)

Early drop-off (8:00 – 9:00 am) & after-hour service (4:00 – 5:00 pm) are available for a flat fee per session: $50 (except session 5: $40).

Please note that lunch is not included. All campers should bring their own lunch and snacks (no nut products).
