TO REGISTER
All new students must take a free 15 minutes complementary
placement test so that we can place you at the appropriate level and
offer you a training that matches your objectives.
To take a placement test, you can come in person at
Alliance Française (352, MacLaren St., Ottawa - at the corner
of Bank & MacLaren) or do it over the phone.
In each case, you have to book an appointement by calling 613-234-9470
ext.221 or writing an email to : info@af.ca.
The registration period begins 3 weeks before
the starting date of the course.

RULES & REGULATIONS
AT ALLIANCE FRANCAISE
Payment
- Students are requested to pay the full tuition, the membership and
book fees (when applicable) prior to the start of the session.
- A $25 fee will be charged for « non sufficient funds »
checks.
Cancellation
- Alliance Française of Ottawa reserves the right to cancel any
group course if there is less than 4 students in the group class (please
read this document for more details)
- In the event that a course is cancelled, AFO will offer students registered
in the cancelled course the option of a) transferring to another class,
b) a full refund c) a credit note.
Refunds
- Tuition fees for group courses are NON-REFUNDABLE, unless a student
provides AFO with written notice that he/she intends to withdraw from
a course at least 3 business days prior the start of the applicable
session
- An administration fee of $50 will automatically be deducted from the
refund amount.
Credit Notes
- Credit notes may be granted to a student who wishes to withdraw from
a course ONLY when the student provides AFO with WRITTEN NOTICE of his/her
intent to withdraw WHITHIN THE FIRST WEEK OF THE SESSION.
- Please note that absence from class does not constitute notice of
withdrawal.
- Credit notes are valid for a period not exceeding 1 year from the
last attended class
- Credit notes will be processed based on the number of remaining hours
in the course once written notice of intent to withdraw is received
by AFO.
- An administration fee of $20 will automatically be deducted from the
value of the credit note.
- Students are not entitled to a credit for a course where a previous
credit was used as full or partial payment of course fees.
Income tax receipt
- Tuition fees are tax deductible according to Canada Revenue Agency
; therefore a tax receipt will be issued by AFO at the end of session.
Parking
- Students are not allowed to park behind the school. This space is
strictly reserved for AFO’s staff.
