If you want to register in France for first or second year undergraduate studies or for a school of architecture and you do not have the DELF B2 or DALF diploma, you must take the specific TCF test for the preliminary admission application, called “TCF pour la DAP”.

The TCF pour la DAP is composed of:

  • Three compulsory modules (1.5 hours)

    • Listening
    • Language structures
    • Reading
  • A written expression module (1.5 hours)

All candidates receive an official certificate of results that places them on the six-level scale (from A1 to C2) established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). It is possible to take the TCF pour la DAP several times, provided there is a 60-day period between two test sessions. The TCF pour la DAP is valid for a period of two years.

For further information about the TCF pour la DAP, please visit the CIEP (Centre International d’Études Pédagogiques) website.
