Trio Lorenzo Naccarrato

Founded in 2012 on the initiative of Franco-Italian pianist Lorenzo Naccarato, this trio proposes a cinematic music inspired by impressionist and minimalist repertoire (Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Erik Satie), contemporary jazz (Robert Glasper, Christian Scott) and repetitive music (Philip Glass, Steve Reich).
Released in March 2016 on the Laborie Jazz label, his first album received an enthusiastic reception from both the public and the media (Jazz Magazine, FIP, UKVibe, Observador Portugal, Times of India, etc.). At the end of 2017 and beginning of 2018, the trio made its first international tours in India, China and Ecuador, and released its second album in September 2018.

“In his compositions, Lorenzo Naccarato Trio draws us into a magnetic, chiselled and fluid aesthetic. aesthetic, chiselled and fluid. The compositions of this young Franco-Italian pianist have already been of Avishai Cohen or the E.S.T. trio, and it is true that it is easy to find a family resemblance between these tutelary figures and “cinematic” jazz. and the “cinematic” jazz, organised around the idea of movement, of Lorenzo Naccarato’s trio. Classically trained classical training, Lorenzo has kept a pronounced taste for Ravel and Satie, borrowing from jazz as well as from film music. Undoubtedly one of the discoveries of this autumn!”  Philippe Fayret, Millau Jazz Festival, 2015
